Just giving everyone a heads up I took 2000+ Photos this weekend, but I cant post them until next saturday. My lap top is in being worked on and I have to get it back to post cause of the program I use. I will make a post on here as soon as they are on but I can garuntee saturday. Until then If you want to check out pictures from previous races just hit the site. and if you see something you want and dont want to get it online let me know I would be happy to bring it to the track. Well It was a very slimy(but fun) day of racing at Lake skowvegas! hahaahaha. I posted some pix they are not great because cameras dont usually work well while taking pix from in a plastic bag.... nuff said there. I had no zoom in case you were wondering. I also wanna apologize if I haven't gotten any pix of ya.... It is hard to take pix when your sitting on the startingline, or racing :-( I am hoping they will switch up the race order here soon so I can Get some pix of the riders I have been missing! If you have any questions I am running around at the track, or rider number 101 so find me :-) I am also bringing a bunch of prints to the next race and selling for 2$ a piece. I might have one of you :-)

The 1st Official Skowvegas race was off to a great start on Sunday 5/31/10. It was a beautiful day weather wise. We were excited to see the new transponder system and the new finish line. The new road for the Walkers and Bikes to get to each side of the track, before and after a race, without having to drop the gate every race. Randy and Jess and Leslie and all the other folks who made this track what it is today should be personally congratulated for all the hard work that was put into it. The money they are making is definitely going back into the track. Randy takes good care that everyone is happy. Got an issue, go see him, he'll take care of it right then and there. What an awesome guy. We knew going in, that due to the new transponder system and the new walker/bikeway, that there may be some issues. We knew we would not get upset and that what we all need to be is patient. There were folks hand scoring as well as the transponder system in action all day long. It all worked out. People need to be more patient. Takes time on the 1st race with all this new equipment to make sure and double make sure that all of us get our positions correct. They made that happen. All trophies were given out correctly. Next Sunday's race should be smoother and quicker. They know what they are doing and we need to thank them for running this track. Hats off to the Skowvegas MX Crew. Keep up the good work. Their hearts and souls are into it and we all should see that and have fun at the races, not want to bite someone's head's off or fight over things. That's racing as I put it. May the best man win. Racing is racing and fun is the key.
There is a new way of getting to the far side pits. This is very important as to keep the races going smoothly and not have to drop the rope all day long.
There will be signs posted both at the top of the hill at the entrance for vehicles and parking, and at the bottom where walkers should be going in order to keep the gate from being dropped on a constant basis all day long. Let's all try to abide by this and our day of racing will be even more pleasant. Just sayin.............

NEW TRANSPONDER SCORING SYSTEM

We have purchased a new scoring system and sucessfully tested today!!! :D Our riders will be required to purchase a RFID card reader that will be attached to the back of your front plate. This works like any other transponder system. You will be able to aquire lap times and sets up and shows champion ship scoring and placing, scoring, etc..... The cost is $10.00 a card. You will be responsible to take care of your card ( cleaning ) The card will be good for as long as you take care of it. You can purchase these before the race this week at practice if you'd like to get a head start and we'll be testing with some motos on tues and thurs. SEE YOU THERE!!!!
