Alot of new trails opening up in southern ME around the berwick, lebanon areas. A proposed 30-40 mile powerline trail is in the works for the area to link all these existing trail systems together to create over 100 miles of networked trails. These private trail systems at the moment are open to trail bikes an dirtbikes. Yet, this new proposed trail to connect all these trails will be CLOSED TO ANYTHING WITH 2 WHEELS!! Honestly if this goes through an it gets finished this could be the largest an best group of trails in the northeast, but yet we won't be allowed? Even though the state of ME defines an atv as any offroad vehicle including dirtbikes! When are trailbikers gonna get organized in maine an do somethin about this crap? Instead of just having to sneak everywhere we ride! Just thought I'd get this off my chest an let you all know about it. Here's a link that tells alot more about it!

We obviously need to get off our duffs on this one. The SnoMo clubs and ATV clubs are just working harder than us.

if your bike is reg. as an atv i cant see how they can not let you ride, if the state wants our reg. money then we should be able to ride all the atv trails.

I agree if a bike is registered then it should be able to go on all atv trails as well. I have not ridden on trails in over 25 years, but plan on rideing some this year.
