| Pat let us know what the final verdict is on that. My guess would be the gasket blocking the flow of the water, wrong gasket or put in wrong. I would also guess the water pump (for lack of a better term) may not be working for some reason. Either way I hope you get it fixed without much money involved.

| | I took it to Powerwheelz today and it's not leaking for them and they can't find anything wrong with it. The coolant level is now down one inch from the top of the resevoir. They think I'm nuts but twice when I started it it leaked steady like a stream of pee after a few minutes of idling. |

| | warm up the bike just a little bit then do a pressure test on the radaitor,if the head gasket is leaking it should show up if the pressure drops fast. also a cylender leak down test not a compression test can show a bad head gasket. jim. |

| | Well I brought it in to Powerwheelz and did a leak down test and checked compression and he could not get it to leak now. He said the bike was MINT in fact he was bombing around on it just before I picked it up last night and he was really impressed with it. His theory is the coolant was topped off and leaks until it's down to the level of the top of the fins inside the radiator. My 450 doesn't do that and I can leave it full to the top of the cap. Apparently the 250 is different. Anyway I'm knocking on wood that it doesn't happen again and I was crazy. It cost me $66 for the reassurance. |

| | It sounds like a bad pump to me. An indication of the head gasket is greyish white oil. |
