I have a  05' CRF250 and the valves were just adjusted after problems with starting and this fixed the problem but They already need to be worked on again. I rode a couple days and raced valley sunday and i needed to bump-start my bike by the end of the day to race it. What does this mean? if there is a serious problem who should work on it? I heard dillingham is good. Thanks for any feedback.

Your bike probably needs new valves.

You are riding in detonation, thus the constant cupping of the intake valve faces.

For some reason I cannot seem to fathom,,,, The majority ride their bikes with the oem jetting. I have yet to see a Jap bike that was even remotely close to correct.!! The lean low end also makes them run to hot thus making them deto sooner due to higher than normal head temps.... Its all bad, I'm sorry to say.

Even the 07 crf 250's need a 4 step increase on the pilot, a richer needle and a 2 size up main jet just to run GOOD<< NOT GREAT>!!

You need valves, but you also need to get it tuned correctly so you just don't keep repeating the error..
