If i remember last year in the open 250 class the top three were 250f's.

that a way boys ...2strokes forever ...just a shame for the humiation of all those racers who sold there 125 twostokes and conformed to the 250fs...their gonna be left in the blue haze and to proud to to go back and admid they made a bad financial dicision in selling thier 2stroke to soon and too cheep...:P:w00t:

I think that AMA should have left it the way it was. Serioulsy! the 250 2-strokes are gonna' walk all over the 250f's and its not even going to be a challange. Yes there is alot of riders that can out run a few but, thats a few out of alot. But hey its not gonna' stop alot of us lol

well ya ever hear of a bike called the elsanor ,one could argue the first motocross ever...quite certain it was 2 stroke..i know my history just fine...but what ever..there has been off road motocross forever....but im sure every one that has ever driven a motocross started on a twostroke...and eventually conformed to the four stroke cause everyone else does...Ricky Carmicheal (retired) runs a two stoke for his personal ride.. and im pretty sure he can afford to ride what ever he wants...

well first of all i dont really think there were many personal trash talkin going on...and really all any body is trying to say her is that people are throwing the 2 strokes right to the side like trash...Two stokes pioneered the motocross world and seriously dont think people are giving them the credit they deserve...

derek has been at a private training facility riding motocross. he got this 3stroker sponser this year so he will indeed be returning to the maine seen and racing among maines finest riders including u shawn. on the hole 250 and 250f subject i say 2 strokes are history and beleive me i still own a yz 250 it is sad they are out. but u cant compete with 4 strokes now adays. and james was not faster on a 2 stroke im sorry dumb statement on ur part. he just rode the piss out of his 125 which he still could have done on a 250f. also if he was faster on his 250 then why in the world would he switch to a 450 when trying to win a national mx title?????? huh but anyways ur all right i would ride a 250 2 stroke too if i was given one for free from a shop thats bout the only way...

I think i have seen some excellent 250 2 stroke riders they just cant out pull the 250f. Interesting in what why that it will bring back the 2 strokes sorry but it wont. thats funny too... cuz the 250f is so slow.. the the 250cc 2-stroke is fouling plugs. dont think im trying to start an argument..... just a die-hard two stroker. but we all know the the bike really doesnt matter... we've seen ama champs switch brands and still win. i've seen dube at skow-vegas on a ktm100 beat brent hicks and Phil Taylor.. and other experts on 250cc and 450Fs'. its all in the rider, skill and training. oh yeah alittle sack and no fear helps too :P

i welcome them in. i rode a 125 in the vet and open class against 250 2strokes and 450's and did well,now i ride a 250f and love running against bigger bikes.i know it doesn't matter to us but the idea is still the same.i say bring it run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough!! just thought i would jump on the trash talking bandwagon,gotta have a little winter humor.hey wait i think they just called me a girl in a round about way

Interesting indeed.....It hardly seems fair. The ol stink pots might have a chance after all. I can't see how an overweight under powered four stroke without its displacement advantage will stand a chance. Don't get me wrong the four strokes have there place...I mean my girlfriend has one. The main thing is that at least the race track will sound less like theres a bunch of honda big reds driving around it.

well first of all the 2 strokes wouldnt have to TRY to compete...if the rider was half decent they would walk all over 250fs...and as for an organization AMA is a pretty big one i would think...im not sure all organizations follow AMA rules...but its just some infomation...and a very interesting topic...if this rule went to the big top racers the two strokes dominate and 250f thumpers would be left behind in the blue smoke...

Didn't we already see the 250 2 strokes try to compete with the 250f last year.( MMS 250 class and in NESC 200 plus class). What organization do you see this rule will apply in the North East because i have not seen any other than LLQ?

following classes, although not all classes need be run if advertised in advance.
Class 1 86-100cc
Class 2 101-125cc
Class 3 126-200cc
Class 4 201-250cc
Class 5 251-Open
Class 6 Veteran (30 yrs. and over)
Class 7 Senior (40 yrs. and over)
Class 8 Super Senior (50 yrs. and over)
Class 9 Master (60yrs.)
Class 10 Women (86cc-Open)
Class 11 ATV Approved.

Biggest thing 250 2 strokes can now compete with 250fs ...hhmmm....uh o....watch out thumpers....the Smokers will rise again...but thanks for coming out...
