i must have gone all the way out to the fence to clear that on a 2stroker..... and its faster if u can hit the hole jump not scrub and stay low cus u carry alot more momentum when u land and u dont slow down takin off from it. its not much faster but its def not slower

thats a pretty nice one there ...yeah we have a jump in burtts corner that is pretty intense when your coming up to it you cant see anything but a big hill nothing but sky when your going up the jump...it has a down hill landing and you have to be right on the brakes for a 180 turn its pretty intense..not too sure how long it is but shes a doozie...myself ive never gotten the balls to hit it...mabey i will try it this year...mabey...:P

and i think that sean jenkins.. on a yz250 that clears it after him.. you can deffinatly hear the 2-stroka:P

CR250R2STROKE - I see that after being down south that you are not alone on the 2 strokes 90% of the canadian riders that came down are still on 2 strokes. Is it that the demand on four strokes is that great south of you guys that you cant get your hands on a real bike? Well if that is the case maybe with the new AMA rules along with Shawn and backbay the demand will be down enough for you this year. I see what you are talking about the fear and tears, lap after lap on those under powered 2 strokes trying to clear those southern jumps and coming up short every time its gotta hurt.

jeezes this is quite the topic.

i spent alot more money keeping my yz 125 going than I did keeping any of my 3 250fs going for a season. i think thats what u get for trading a 250f for a 125 though. hopefully the 08 kawi holds together..

its pretty bad if ur on an internet forum bragging about how fast you are because you ride a 2stroke.. the only 2 kids ive seen on a 2stroke that destroyed the kids on the 4strokes at the races were jimmy d because well.. he's jim d, and seth taylor back a couple years back at valley. their fast but nobody buys them anymore because of course theres all this hype about 4strokes being great... id just be happy to have a bike that goes fast and go from there haha.

i'm still going with a 6 strokee 900cc monster energy kawazukihonyam revlimitahh. mines fastt

you heard about that bike yet?

also i like to ride on the railroads with 16th gear tapped revlimiter backwards upside backwardsss with the clutch in brakes hammered. you can only doo that with a 53 tooth rear sprocket and a renthal goldd chain and a 14 tooth front.

nice... good to hear it wasnt anything bad. i had a rm125 once that had that problem, and after read some responses on here..... i think it mighta been a crank seal. i tried EVERYTHING but that. so i sold it. it ran great... just was sucking in air some where and i was eating up piston and rings alot faster than normal.

you better believe it was cheeper...a simple cleaning of the carb and shes wheelieing up the street and pi@!ing off the neighbors with a beautiful brapp....:D

sounds like a crank seal leaking pull ignition side cover look for oil or wetness

hey everyone..i know this is the wrong post to be askin mechanical question but i figure there are lots of two stokes listening...i have a 02 cr 250 ...it tends to rev up and down and doesent tend to idle down after hitting the throddle...when ya pull up the choke it will idle down then rev back up...probaly cause its flooding it out ...i figure i have a leak somewhere and it suckin in air...probably around head, carb...crank seal...hop its not that but....any way i just did a piston rings and cylinder job...it was doing that before i did the work but its real bad now...any thought...? am i on the right track?:)thanks

Yeah, yeah, yeah; I see him pretty often. He’s busy though; he’s got a family now and he has a new career starting. As this spring rolls around, he’s gonna get pretty ramped up with the car racing and all that; but I see him often. He brings out the Suzuki two-stroke and rides that every now and then. I’m sure that he’ll ride more this summer, but probably not when it gets too hot - he doesn’t have to anymore.

yz did that a few years ago too... i think it was 05. and then they offered yellow in 06 and suzuki uut blue in their graphics and seat. but back to the exhaust... i got to thinking about mike treadwells ktm.... that thing was the best sound. i pretty sure it was mike and a ktm but i could be wrong. it sounded so, so, "pro" i guess is the word... or "factory". either way im still into the buuurrrrraaaaaapppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sound :D

sounds like a baffed out motofour someone cut the exhaust off..aka...really bad...thats kinda how my buddys crf450 sound...just cant dig it...anyone see the new yzf450s with the white plastic...they look pretty sharp...but ya cant get them in a twosmoker though...:angry:

The funny thing here is K-Dawg...he has handed me my *** multiple time on a two stroke (2006 Spring 30C #1) and so has Blais (2007 spring 30C #1) and Bill (2007 Fall 30C #1). All those guys were on 2-Strokes. Hell to make it even worse Bill was on a 125! Don't get me wrong here...I love my Thumper but I can't argue that 3 out of the last four series I have raced were won by 2-strokes. HEY!!! ive passed a few that have been upright!!! hahahaha but ya i get lucky with you guys. i'm telling ya.... pro-action susspension and a michelin s12 front tire. youve even said it to me d-rock.... "how come i never see you washed out in a corner?" and you know.. thinking about it.. i think its just my mad motor skillz:w00t::P:w00t: just kidding. i get lucky alot for being timid.... the guy in front of me is pushing alittle harder and wipes out... then i just cruise around em. i love mud races for that.. hahahahaa very good points also derek....both 30+c classes last year were won on a two stroke.... and the spring was won by alot of points i believe. but blais coulda started out expert and probably still won.

hey Andy, i notice that when im on the starting line.... with one on each side. its pretty bad. although i do like the sound of one 4-stroke exhaust... i think its the t-4??? and i think it had motor work. what i really dont like is 250f stock exhaust. but i hear it like 1000 bucks for good exhaust. i paid 380 for my bills and i get lotsa compliments on how "cool" my bike sounds. then again... it is a 2-stroke :P

hey my name is andy...is it just me or are four stoke like ridicously loud somtimes. ...like they are almost like obnoxious...my buddy has a 04 crf450 and like its super loud...not to sound like a sissy but its like ear piercing...old 4 strokes use to be quite...i miss that...:)

This 2-stroker sounds like he is just frustrated with the fact that he may not be able to afford a 4-stroke instead of being able to ride one faster. I rode 2-strokes since 15 years old, and had a few great honda CR250's, along with Yamaha YZ250 before buying a new 06 CR450. Riding a 450 is NO comparison to a 2-stroke 250. I recommend this Canadian full-throttle a 450 in 5th gear and compare that to pinning a 2-stroke in 5th. It definately takes more balls to ride a 450. :)
