I think that is why NESC has this stipulation in their rule book.

Pat, of course I wont those extra 14 points on you my friend! ;) I'm not sure why you didn't race on Sunday but those are the opportunities that those of us just outside the "jacket club" look forward to! I bet you I know a few racers who would love nothing more than to see about 3 or 4 ppl not show for the last 2 motos.

Why didn't you ride Sunday?

RE: New section on the big track
D-Rock (6/26/2008)
Ok...my understanding of the "rained out" second half motos was we would get the same finish in the second moto as we got in the first moto. Why does it only show moto 1's results and more importantly shouldn't we get the full championship point for both motos? For instance if you got 1st in the 1st half you should get credit for the 1st in the second half due to the rain out giving you a total of 50 points for the day not 25. Obviously this would carry over to the rest of the places. So for you Shawn instead of getting 11 points for Sunday you would get 22...am I making sense here? I seem to remember it being done this way before...or maybe I read it somewhere...
Here is the NESC rule...under rule "CP-7"

"In the event that the NESC can not run a two moto format for your class(es) double championship points will be awarded"

I don't see any mention of anything about this in our current rule book...but I could be missing it.
i called and asked.. its stays as it is. i think you are correct derek, but the only thing i can see is that who's to say where i'd come in the second "un-raced" moto. its a tough call.. i think they are both good ways.. just dont know whats right or fair. i'd like to get more points on 479... and others that didnt show... but i didnt race that moto, so should i get points for a race i didnt do? i just wish it had stopped raining. the track was mint and the day was flying by!!! DAMN YOU MOTHER NATURE!!!:D

RE: New section on the big track

although this sounds like a completely fair and reasonable way to do it,due to the fact that i didn't race you would be right on me in points,so i have to vote no!!!JK:P:)

RE: New section on the big track

Ok...my understanding of the "rained out" second half motos was we would get the same finish in the second moto as we got in the first moto. Mike told me to post that if the weather works in his favor... the new section will be open for the classic. they have alot of work to do this week, so dont get mad at mike if it isnt done:P
