InstantForum.NET v4.1.4MaineDirtbikes.com Forumshttp://www.mainedirtbikes.com/newforums/do-not-reply@mainedirtbikes.comMon, 01 Dec 2008 18:08:30 GMT20http://www.mainedirtbikes.com/newforums/Topic4485-23-1.aspxJust wanted to make a few comments about this weekend,and hopefully things may be better for next time.We are not normaly the type to complain but after this wekend we left the track in pure disappointment.The Rynos,or Ryno Type vehicles and people operating them were horrible this weekend,friday night they were racing up and down the road going way faster than they should have been with children around,they were all drinking beer and didn't seem like they were paying very much attention to the kids at all.It is only luck nobody got hurt on them this weekend,or they didn't hurt someone else.It made us very nervous,then saturday they were all over,across and going up and down the track during races.we realize they were using these to get to where they needed to water,but not all the time,it also looked as if they were just messing around with them..Then I have to say the worst thing was the drug use at the track,(not by these people,or workers, but by people there)There is a time and place for everything,and most people that come there have kids and just want a relaxing weekend of racing and hanging out.The smell of weed was so bad from the people by us that we couldn't believe it.we have kids and dont want them around that situation or being subjected to that stuff again.We had full intentions of spending the whole weekend and racing both days but after that we honestly dont care if we ever go back there.It just seems that up there people can do whatever they want and nobody does anything about it.There were fireworks,beligerant drunks,and way more weed than there should have been for a weekend of family racing.Then the waterers....how many times do people have to complain about the way these tracks waters for the little bikes.Come on now there is no need of watering a track during a race.These guys have a hard enough time getting around a dry track not to mention when it is turned into slick stuff by the time they come around another lap.get the watering straight and water between moto's not during them.We realize that the track cant always make everyone happy or take care of every little problem but the drinking and drugs and speeding on the pit vehicles can and shuld have something done about them,these tracks are losing riders every week,and maybe it is time to see or find out what the reasons are for it.We all have done stuff when we were younger but some chose to change and have kids and try to spend as much time with them,enjoying them and teaching them right from wrong,how can we teach then what is right and wrong when they are subjected to this stuff at the track(right out in the open) and assume it must be ok cause other people are doing it.Please try to see what can be done before more people stop racing.This is a fun family sport and should always remain that way.Sun, 12 Aug 2007 11:09:26 GMTmotoxlover
