Today was one of the best days we could have asked for.The track was great! The DJ that played the music and did the announcing was the best.The flaggers all did a terrific job,the track held together wicked good,and last but not least the weather could not have been more perfect...It was nice to see all the motos go so smooth,and have minimal crashes.Hope everyone that did crash is ok, and hope that everyone enjoyed Spruce Mountain,and will come back again next year!Way to go Bruce.Thank You very much for all you did to make today go so well.:smooooth:

Dont stand to close to the track

Every week... i stand as close as i can to the action, cheering on the people i know (sometimes people i dont know:D) but this week i got hit in the forehead with a rock. funny thing is, the bike were coming at me not going away from me. i think i got it on vid.. but heres the pic of my forehead:w00t:

Spruce Mountain Race

Bruce has been spending alot of time making some really nice track changes,trying to do what people had suggested.He has worked really hard and it would be nice if people would show up and support the track.We rode there the other night and it was awesome.We thought the last race there went really well and have looked forward to going back there.Hope to see you all there this weekend.

dispelling a rumor about the MMS

I heard Sunday at Valley that there was a rumor going around at the Winchester Regional that the MMS was not going to exsist next year. I am hear to tell you that that is NOT true. We will be in operation next year.

This statement is not to offend or personally attack the management at Spruce Mountain but to improve on what is already there.

Last year was your first ever race at Spruce Mountain with a good turn out. I thought for the most part it went well. There were some issues and concerns that I thought would be addressed for the races the following year. For your efforts last year you got two races for 2007. I expected a little more from your track to stay on the Maine Motocross Series schedule. Did you think that we would not see or comment on your progress thus far. I’m sure you work hard on your track but you have to look at it from our point of view. We have too much money invested in this sport to have a new track owner pulling the wool over our eyes. For example, explain why you didn’t groom behind the gates from last years race and why the track wasn’t groomed for the racers for this race? It didn’t seam to be a big priority for you to make your track look good. It was my observation you need some help to get your track into shape for the race but I didn’t see you ask for help on this web site. With my kids being members of the Maine Motocross Series that travels around the state to different tracks, we look forward to camping and racing at professionally ran tracks. I do know the amount of effort it takes to get a track into shape and I do know what it takes to get a crew for race day. It also looked like you were reinventing the wheel on the way things should run from where your EMTs’ were positioned to the watering of your track and leaving a puddle of water for the 50’s on the start line. Even the A & B riders had some choice words to say. It looked like it was your first attempt at running a race. My point to this is if you need some help put the word out. I know people would be happy to arrive early to help once they get to your track on Saturday. I don’t want this to be a personal attack on you or your staff. We as members feel we deserve to be treated as a valuable customer and deserved to be heard. I would like to thank the Thunder Worriers for working that day. Its not easy to work and race. It also shows how much they care for the sport, the series and there home track. Finally to the MMS membership, please make comments and suggestions that would improve this facility.

well heres another atemp at the helmet cam... still needs to come up alittle and i think the batteries are low.. cuz it cuz out and only got almost one lap. but you can see some action just at the end.. to the left there are three guys piled up.

flaggers must be blind

#365 30 +c boo koo rider , from what i hear my accident where i was run over by another rider was not flagged what so ever and could of turned out to be worse, lucky i only suffered a ac separation and torn ligiments with a rotator cuff injury. the track was nice but needs to be changed in a couple places before i and im sure others will be back... i dont think they were prepared for this race.flaggers need to be trained not be pulled out of the crowd, they were to busy watching the race rather then for accidents.

Spruce Mountain Practice

Just wanted to let everyone know that Bruce's track is open for practice and is in pretty darn good shape.The boys have been having a ball riding there and want to have some people come up and check it out and ride with them..Hope to see some people show up and try this track and give it a shot.Bruce is trying really hard to make a friendly track for all ages...:hehe:

Practice at Spruce Mountain

Looking for others who want to get together at Spruce Mountain for some practice laps. Getting back into racing after retirement 6 years ago due to injury and Bruce's track is close with some good terrain to get some good practice laps in.
