| If you want to freshen up the 04 or 05 an oil change is a good start, but if you get a rebuild from Factory Connection or Pro Action they'll take everything apart and clean, polish, and inspect everything in addition to the oil change. Just know that chances are you're going to be spending more money than the price they advertise, because they're going to find things that "need replacing" and you'll have no idea whether or not you actually do.
For the 06, if its a new bike to you the first step would be setting the race sag. If you want it "set up" for you like you said, you could have a full re-valve done that would customize the bike for your weight and ability. I'm not sure but I think stock springs in a 250f are for like 160 pound riders. You would only need to think about new ones if you're a good deal heavier or lighter than that. |

| | Yeah i weigh 155 but have been told a different weight from everyone i have talked to about my 06 someone even told me they come set up for 175-200 so i did not know. Do you think it would be that hard to try to do the oil myself on the 04? |

Do you think it would be that hard to try to do the oil myself on the 04?You have to properly drain it and then you need a special syringe tool to measure and re-fill it. The first time I ever had it done was by a family friend in his own garage, so it's not like it's something you couldn't do yourself. The price to have it done by a shop definitely seems high for what it is. At 175 to 200 pounds you'd need stiffer springs. At 155 you're probably in the stock spring ballpark. If you just call Factory Connection and ask you'll get an answer. |

Thanks if youve had factory connection do your suspension... i would call them. but pro-action of maine could help you out. Or if you know how to yourself, RaveX could hook you up with one too.
