Just a quick question for the moto-elite. Through better eyes than mine (my sons friend) i have discovered a hair line crack on the swing-arm of my truly beloved 1996 CR-250. Its right on the bead of the original weld and is only on the outside, right side. Any words of wisdom? I would assume it could be re-welded, but was wondering if the Aluminum swing-arm causes any problems. Any info?
Thanks.

i would try to get it welded... but find someone that really knows there stuff. welding is easy.. but doing it right and with aluminum... it can be harder. good luck.... sorry to hear the 2-smokers got trouble

Welding Honda swing arms is not difficult. However I recall reading that the aluminum swing arm is heat treated and repair is not recommended. I would check e-bay for one or some other source for safety's sake.

Ya gotta quit hucking those gigantic freestyle ramps dude!

Going to Hemonds Saturday?  I'm gonna spectate and feed my desire for another mx bike until I run to my nearest Kawi dealer, GoodTimes card in hand...

How'd you know? That double backflip is a tough one.
No Hemmonds this weekend. Took my daughter to Bull Run last weekend and had a great time. Always tempted to try to race again. I have my sights on this old guy on a two-stroke Suzuki with the number 40-something. I think I can pass him if I drink enough Red Bull
