If you keep track of lap times for yourself or others.  If you have not would you the next time your there for practice or race.

Could you please e-mail me @ meserve92@yahoo.com

With your class
Your bike size
Your lap time

I have done lap times for a few but want to get an average for each class.

I won't disclose anyone's name or lap times, as you notice I didn't ask for rider number or name.

Yes race day is a complicated mixture for those of you who don't know:

Take each class on the schedule
Take average lap time x number of laps to =

Take the weather into consideration
dry windy day.   water 5 min 5x day  = 25 min

Some items that don't calculate by time:

Injury can put you behind 15 min to 1/2 hours each

Because of the length of the track,  One bike that trails all the rest in a moto can take as long as 2 min 35 seconds to finish.  This may be bike, issues, crash reasons.
Time Factor  ????????= if every class has a rider who is 2:30 sec behind the leader.
22 classes 44 moto's = 88 min delay.

All these things add up.   Any suggestion's   let me know

I got a few lap times last Saturday...granted only one lap each so it is not an average.

Top 250 "B" rider = 2.04

the 250 "B" group following not too far behind = 2.10-2.15

Top 125 "C" rider = 2.18

There's an easier way to schedule your race day: make the nov classes 10 minutes plus two laps and the am/exp classes run 15 plus two. Drop the gate, run the stopwatch at the scoring tower, when it reaches 10 minutes wave the board with the number 2 on it, then the white flag then its over. Everyone gets the same track time, the classes that run slower laps run fewer laps but they still get the same time on the track as another class.

This wouldn't apply to 50 and 65 riders, another time/# of laps might be more appropriate due to the track being shortened.

I agree.....this is the way NESC use to be in the early 80's.
