Buy one man. You're a young man, still in your prime. You deserve it. Do it while you can. It will make you feel better.
Does that help?

Unfortunately I think I'm gonna have to buy a pellet stove instead and I don't think I can afford both.  I refuse to pay $4.50 (or more) a gallon for heating oil.  I hate Maine.  If my house ever sells (not likely) I am seriously considering moving to a warmer climate.  THEN I'll buy an mx bike for sure since I'll be able to ride all year...

$4000 a year in property taxes with no real services and crappy roads, almost $300 to register my MOTORCYCLE (?!!!), tax upon tax upon tax - the cost of living here is out of control and is now outweighing any benefits there are to living here.  Not to mention the wages here are far below national standards - not a great combo.  I could go on for pages, but you get my point.

Your still living and breathing. Start riding, oh and get a wood stove. Word has it the cost of running a Pellet Stove will go up also.
Two days ago we were wearing sweatshirts, today I was sweating just by adjusting my chain. ( No not because I'm fat)
We have one of the best Motocross series in the US (Oh to roost in the Fall) and some trail riding locations that can match about anywhere in the world, you just have to find them. Start riding, it clears the head. Taxes will always be there. Cities blow (where the wages are better) and the commutes are death defying.
And by the way I didn't stay in a Motel 6, I rode today, and life looks a lot better going into the week.

I agree with you Driven, but things aren't always greener on the other side of the fence.  You will be paying up through your nose to AC your house with.

I am seriously considering buying a pellet stove too.....obviously pellet costs are going to go up, just like good ole wood.  I spent my time from age 11 to 23 doing 4 cord of wood each year cutting, stacking, bucking, stacking, splitting and then final stacking--mostly by myself....am sick of handling wood.  Plus it takes up a lot of space and attracks insects in your house.  My reason for getting a pellet stove, other than less work using wood, is more to have an alternate form of heat in case Israel evaporates Iran off the map and the Straight of Hormuz is closed temporarily.  Think about this....our Strategic Oil Reserve can only sustain our countries oil demand for 66 DAYS.....not very long.

Maine taxes are WAY TOO HIGH......however, most Mainer's keep voting for Liberal candidates for the Legislature and the Blaine House.....this must change.  We need to reduce the size and cost of our state government now.   The company that I used to work with did a few small bridges under contract with the State, and I can definately say the amount of time and $$ we spent doing the State bridges were at least 2 to 3 times more expensive than designing a Private bridge of the same type.  It is my opinion the State does not beleive in timelines, urgency, and being efficient.

Good luck, and go by a bike.....it is the best therapy for **it like this.

Time to send the enviro-nazis to Iran and DRILL FOR OIL IN OUR OWN COUNTRY!

I might just say screw it and buy a bike anyway...but then I have to find some way to transport it as I sold my truck when I got a company vehicle.  We'll see...
